Strine Adds Window Patching Equipment

York, PA, August 1, 2006 - Strine Printing, the largest commercial and packaging printer in the northeastern United States, has added a Heiber & Schroder "WPS 1100" window patching machine for rotary window patching and lining.

This window patching machine will allow Strine to apply cellophane windows to any packaging product. Product visibility is a proven means of brand recognition in driving product off the retail shelf as well as a protective measure against product tampering. Windowing capabilities include:

  • Clear Acetate - flexible as well as rigid windows with scored corners
  • Window area minimum size 3.125" x 4" /maximum size 43.3" x 32"
  • A great addition to our already existing packaging amenities, including folding/gluing, large format die cutting and graphic finishing, and 3-D CAD design.

"With our far reaching growth in folding carton work, we thought having the ability to window would help our customers," says Dave Kornbau, Vice President of Operations. "We are already hearing success stories from our customers, which tells us we're doing our job."
